Romford Greyhound Stadium was originally opened in 1929 and it been an established attraction ever since, with direct transport links from London. Despite predominantly hosting greyhound racing, the stadium was also briefly home to cheetah racing back in 1937.

Our racing calendar has grown throughout the years and three new major events have been introduced since Coral took over in 1976. The Coronation Cup became Romford’s third major trophy in 1986 before the Golden Sprint was introduced a year later. The Champion Stakes was then resurrected in 1988 and since then the stadium has become one of the UK’s most visited dog tracks.

We celebrated our 90th anniversary in 2019, which coincided with a £10 million refurbishment. Our Coral Stand is home to a brand-new restaurant, three bars and on-site betting facilities. We welcome people of all ages and encourage families to spend the evening with us, particularly if you have something to celebrate.

Directions by Road - Free limited parking on a first come, first served basis.

Situated on the A118 London Road, Romford. Approximately 15 minutes from M25, junction 28 via A12.

By Bus - Take the number 86 from Romford town centre.

By Rail - Romford Station on TFL Rail line, 5 minutes by taxi.

Friday and Saturday evening ticket prices are: Adults £7 and under 18’s £5.
